Kyiv – (Adnan Hameed): In one of the deadliest attacks on the Ukrainian capital in recent months, Russian missile strikes targeted 27 locations across Kyiv, killing 28 people and injuring at least 114 others, reported by Ukrainian media. The coordinated assault impacted multiple districts, striking residential complexes, educational institutions, and critical infrastructure facilities.
Several high-rise buildings suffered severe damage, with some partially collapsing. Fires broke out in multiple locations, and emergency services launched immediate response efforts. Rescue teams worked through the debris to free trapped residents from stairwells, upper floors, and beneath collapsed structures.
The attacks also disrupted electricity, water supplies, and communication lines in parts of the capital, further complicating rescue operations and emergency response. Authorities activated crisis shelters to support displaced residents as the city grappled with the aftermath.
This wave of violence marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, raising alarms over continued threats to civilian areas and essential services.
