Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman underscored on Saturday the international community’s role in ending the “disastrous repercussions” of the Israeli aggression on Palestine.
“This year, Eid al-Adha arrived as our brothers in Palestine continue to suffer from Israeli aggression,” MBS said, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) as he welcomed heads of states and senior officials who performed Hajj.
“We emphasize the role of the international community in ending the disastrous repercussions of this aggression, protecting innocent civilians, and establishing a new reality in which Palestine enjoys peace in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions,” MBS said in his speech at the reception ceremony at the Royal Court in Mina Palace.
Palestinians in Gaza observed the Eid al-Adha holiday under the shadow of war for a second consecutive year.
MBS arrived on Thursday in Mina, on Mecca’s outskirts, to oversee measures taken by the relevant authorities as the annual Hajj pilgrimage is underway.
MBS told the attendees on Saturday that the Kingdom will continue to exert all its efforts to serve pilgrims.
“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has placed this at the forefront of its priorities, devoting all its capabilities to serving the pilgrims and facilitating the performance of their rituals with ease and comfort,” the Crown Prince said.
“Saudi Arabia will continue to carry out this duty, recognizing the great responsibility and honor of service.”
