The Russian president said he knows that Donald Trump also spoke about the possibility of meetings
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday he was always prepared for international contacts and meetings, in particular with US President Donald Trump.
“I am always open to contacts and meetings. I know that Mister Trump also talked about the possibility of meetings,” Putin told journalists.
“Well, just like him, I believe that such meetings should be organized,” the Russian president added.
Putin and Trump held a phone call, this year’s fifth and their third over the past month, on June 14 when they discussed the situation in the Middle East, before the US delivered strikes on Iran.
In their previous conversations, the two leaders mostly focused on how to normalize bilateral relations and aspects of resolving the Ukraine crisis.
