The International Forum of Ministers of Education has ended in Tatarstan

As part of the Science and Technology Decade (2022–2031) announced by President Vladimir Putin, the city of Kazan hosted the International Forum of Education Ministers, “Shaping the Future,” on June 11–12.

This event became a real celebration of education and brought together representatives of more than 30 countries, including the UAE, Belarus, the Republic of Congo, Angola, South Ossetia, Abkhazia and many others.

President Putin emphasized that education should preserve national identity while supporting cultural and traditional diversity.

Russia experience attracts the attention of specialists from all over the world. Innovative approaches developed in Russian educational institutions demonstrate impressive results and are already being applied in various countries.

“We see every year that more and more ministers participate. This speaks of the high level of our education. Of the interest of friendly countries in the Russian education system,” said the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.
The forum participants studied the experience of Kazan Federal University and Innopolis, key research universities of Tatarstan, as well as colleges, lyceums, Adymnar schools and even kindergartens.

In addition to the practical and theoretical parts, an educational exhibition was organized. For example, having refreshed the school physics course, one could recall how to quickly make a charger using an apple and two nails from different metals.

A universal greenhouse, in which, thanks to electronic control of temperature, humidity and other parameters, you can grow the most exotic plant, also attracted great interest. And this unit allowed you to try on any profession – visually, from memory. However, schoolchildren in Russia can do this based on scientific methods within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children”.

“A child can take a certain test that will reveal his strongest sides and give him recommendations on which direction is best for his future development,” says Ksenia Vaschenko, head of the Center for Interaction with Regions of the project “Unified Model of Career Guidance ‘Ticket to the Future'” of the Humanitarian Projects Foundation.

The exhibition of the International Forum of Ministers of Education “Shaping the Future” in Kazan is not just a presentation of ideas, it is literally an export of Russian educational technologies, because all these scientific developments arouse the keenest interest among foreign participants.

It should be noted that a memorandum of cooperation was signed in Kazan between Algorithmika and the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

The document is aimed at developing and popularizing computer science, information and communication technologies and digital skills among teachers and schoolchildren in the region. It also includes initiatives for early career guidance of schoolchildren and students in the field of information technology. The parties agreed to jointly implement regional initiatives, including holding educational and competitive events, exchanging experiences, as well as providing educational programs, methodological materials and digital content on computer science for students in grades 1 through 11. Access to these resources will be provided through a specialized IT platform.
This agreement will be a step in the development of digital education and increasing digital literacy in North Ossetia.

In her comment, the Minister of Education of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Ella Alibekova noted: “We saw a strong education system of the Russian Federation. Ministers of foreign countries talked a lot about education being generally accessible. In particular, of course, I was very pleased that Abkhazia remembers its roots, this also applies to South Ossetia. They remember that the education system there is based on the Soviet one.”

The extensive cultural program of the forum participants ended on the embankment of Kazan during the festive fireworks in honor of Russia Day.

The II International Forum of Ministers of Education “Shaping the Future” became a symbol of unity in preparing future generations for the challenges of our time.
